Upside Stories Fees

Here you’ll find useful information about our fees, policies, referral and rebates.

  • Fees

    $245 per 50-minute session.

    15-min consults are free of charge.

    Fees are auto-charged in each session via online card payment.

    We do not offer bulk-billing, or accept referrals through NDIS, TAC, DVA, or WorkCover.

    We do not provide independent assessments for NDIS, DSP or legal purposes.

  • Referral & Rebates

    You do not need a referral to book in.

    Medicare rebates of $141.85 may apply if your GP refers you on a Mental Health Treatment Plan.

    Medicare rebates are processed shortly after your session and usually appear in your bank account (linked to MyGov) within 24–48 hours.

    Private health rebates may apply — please check with your health fund.

  • Cancellation Policy

    Please let us know at least 24 hours before to avoid a fee.

    Our cancellation fees follow the Australian Psychological Society guidelines:

    - No notice: Full fee
    - Less than 24 hours’ notice: Full fee
    - More than 24 hours’ notice: No fee

    If we can fill your appointment, we’ll waive the fee. Medicare does not cover missed appointment fees.

    Free 15-min consults do not have cancellation fees.
